It’s no secret to Disney fans that Epcot is considered to be a much more adult-friendly park than the others at Walt Disney World, due to the various drinking establishments throughout the park. Epcot does have plenty of family-friendly/kid-friendly attractions and entertainment options, but the ease of access to alcohol in the park is a frequent topic of discussion.
Many people who are of legal drinking age attempt to drink around the world while in the park. For the few of you who aren’t familiar with this, they attempt to consume one adult beverage in every country around the World Showcase.
We often see people asking on social media for suggestions on the best places to drink at Epcot. While there are a lot of great options, we have decided to share what we consider to be the top 3 bars at Epcot. These aren’t in any particular order, but here are our picks:
La Cava del Tequila
The first stop for many people as they make their way around World Showcase is the Mexico pavilion, so we’ll make the clockwise journey, as well.
When you arrive in the Mexico pavilion, head inside to find La Cava del Tequila. This is a small bar with very limited space and seating. Add in the popularity of this bar, and the wait times can get fairly lengthy. This place is well worth the wait though.
With over 200 tequilas available, any tequila lover is sure to find something to their liking. There is a wide selection of margaritas and tequila flights available. Not a fan of tequila? Beer, wine, and other cocktails are served, as well.
Halie’s personal favorite margarita is La Cava Avocado. We highly recommend it!! Espolón Blanco Tequila chilled is her shot of choice. Danny hasn’t settled on a specific personal favorite, but has enjoyed every margarita he has tried here.
Shots of tequila are served with tomato juice and lime on the side, which may be a bit different than many people are used to when they order a shot elsewhere.
To go along with your drinks, a very limited food menu is available. We love the chips and guac!! Chips and queso or chips and salsa are always great here, too.
Although space is limited here, this is a great spot to stop and enjoy a drink and a snack in an air conditioned place with a really cool atmosphere.
Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar
As we continue to make our way around World Showcase, we are making a stop in Italy, at Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar.
This place is a wino’s dream come true at Epcot. There are over 200 Italian wines available, as well as beer. If you like wine, you should have no problem finding something here to enjoy.
A small-plates menu that includes meats, cheeses, paninis, pasta, and desserts is available. Many plates served are for two or more people, perfect for sharing while enjoying your favorite wine and taking a bit of a break while enjoying your visit to Epcot. You can take a break from everything that is going on in the park and just enjoy an opportunity to slow down and unwind a bit with good Italian food and a delicious wine.
Since there are so many great options for food and wine pairings, we don’t have a specific go-to recommendation. The possibilities are seemingly endless. Surely, you will find a fantastic pairing to fit your appetite.
Rose & Crown Pub
As we conclude our journey around World Showcase, before arriving in Canada, we have to make a stop at our favorite bar in Epcot. Rose & Crown Pub in the UK pavilion is our go-to place for drinks.
Whenever we’re here, it’s a guaranteed good time. This place is small, loud, and crowded, but has such a fun atmosphere, and provides another much needed break in the air conditioning on those hot Florida days.
Halie’s go-to drink here is Strongbow cider. She gets it every time. Depending on the day, Danny will either get Strongbow, as well, or Boddingtons ale. It’s hard to go wrong with either choice.
The menu consists of pub grub (try the fish and chips!!), pints, pub blends, flights, Scotch whisky, cognac, wine and sangria, and non-alcoholic beverages.
If you’re looking for a fun, party atmosphere at Epcot, this is the place. While here, don’t try to order “Irish Car Bombs”, as this is considered to be offensive. Instead, ask for “Guinness Bombs”.
Whether you are starting or ending your drinking adventures at Epcot here, you will not be disappointed with the experience. If you happen to see us while you’re there, please feel free to come up to us and say hi. We would love to meet you!!
