As the August 29th, 2019 opening date for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Walt Disney World’s Hollywood Studios approaches, it will come as no surprise to Disney fans that park ticket prices will increase. This morning, WDW annual passholders woke up to news of sudden and significant price increases for annual passes.

The amount of price increase varies, depending on the pass. Some of the increases are far more noticeable than others, especially for Florida residents making monthly payments for their annual pass.

In order from least expensive to most expensive, here is a breakdown of the annual pass price changes:

The Disney Water Parks After 2 annual pass will now be $89. This is a $10 increase.

The Disney Water Parks annual pass has increased by $9, and is now $139.

The Epcot After 4 annual pass, which is available to Florida residents only is up to $309. This is a $20 increase from the previous price.

The Disney Weekday Select Annual Pass, which is valid Monday-Friday only, and is only available to Florida residents has increased by $30. The price is now $349.

The Disney Theme Park Select annual pass, which is only available to Florida residents, is the only annual pass option that remained the same price. It is still $439.

The Disney Silver annual pass, only available to Florida residents, jumped to $529. This is a $50 increase over the previous price.

The Disney Gold annual pass, available only to Florida residents and Disney Vacation Club (DVC) members, increased by $90. The new price is $699.

There were two separate price changes involving the Disney Platinum annual pass. The non-Florida resident price for this pass jumped a stunning $225!! The price is now $1,119. For Florida residents and DVC members, the price is now $899, an increase of $150.

The Disney Platinum Plus annual pass also increased by the same amounts for non-Florida residents, and Florida residents and DVC members, respectively. The non-Florida resident price is now $1,219, and the Florida resident and DVC member price is now $999.

Finally, the Disney Premier Passport, which provides admission to both WDW and Disneyland has increased by $150. The new price is $2,099.

These price changes are effective immediately. Current annual passholders will notice these changes when their annual pass is up for renewal.

  2. A few years ago when we went to Disney Paris – Euro Disney it was so much cheaper than we thought it would be. Then this recent trip to Tokyo Disney – it was also cheaper, and the food was SOOO much cheaper. Might be easier to fly over -lol!

      1. I have been asked what my bucket list is, a lot, and never had an answer but I do now. I want to visit every single Disney Theme park. So China, Shanghai and the Florida water parks are only left. I think I can finish these up in the next 10 years.
